I think the drains should be desilted by April end. If not water logging occurs creating more damage. Even the roads are tarred in April, just before the monsoon. What style of administration / functioning is this ?

I have found a solution to resolve all the issues of twin districts (Manglore and Udupi), State of Karnataka and our beloved country India.

Every day we get to read so many comments about how should our districts, state and the country.

Can any one of us including me), come forward and say he or she is "the candidate" who would answer our issues and resolve all of them!

Politics is a game of believers of unbelievers. This is the dirtiest game of the people who believe that they can be trusted!

Congress had a big hype from last win from their Mangalore corporation elections. Supplying uninterrupted water and electricity, providing quality roads, clearing drains to avoid clogging of water etc… etc were in their election manifesto. Though they won the corporation election well in time they had plenty of time to ensure clearing of drains and any water blockades. And what’s now the situation. What have they done? Nothing but just forgotten what was said and assured.
Let it be of any party, none of them are better than the other than and start playing blame games.

These scenes of monsoon, you will get to see each year to remind your self of your childhood days.

If you don't like more rain then bring BJP to power in the state. They give money to temples for praying for rain.

Few people earlier commented that due to New Congress Government in Karnataka even God also pleased to down pour more rain on our coastal area. But when there is a flood due to excess rain will they start blaming BJP again? Few people made it habit to blame BJP for all…………. All I would say that, Even God knows very well that nothing will happen to Coastal people by inducting new Government since they followed the same old path, so God blessed us with more rain so that our Farmers cultivate more rice so that Congress Poll Promise still stay alive

@Bollu, Mangalore, you are talking as if lobo sir has a magic wand. Instead you should you asked ex-MLA why Mangalore houses are "HOUSE BOATS" at least by now you would have received your answer and lobo maam could have invested his energy into some other work. Don’t you think so?

    Mr. Bollu
You should thank our ex-CM from Coastal region Mr. Sadananda Gowda for giving us the feeling of "House Boat" of Kashmir in Mangalore. When your EX-CM could not do anything in 5 years, how do you expect Mr. Lobo to do everything in one month. Have patience dear and see the "change" after 5 years. You will feel the experience of "Switzerland" in Mangalore...hahaha
