Udupi, Jun 9: Opposing the Mangalore harassment case, the Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike,
Udupi, staged a protest in front of the SP office on Saturday June 8.

G Rajshekar, president, asked as to what the rules were that exist in the Indian penal code. He said that the same should be applicable to the police department too. “Such departments should be the model for all. If they commit such crimes where will ordinary people go? How can peace remain in the society?”

Ayavadhana Moodusagri said, “The Vedike will fight for justice. We will not favor any government but we want social justice in place.”

Dinakar S Bingre, secretary, K Paniraj, Muhammad Idhris, and Firoz Manna were present on the occasion.
