Riyadh, Jan 8: AMACO stole the limelight at the floodlight cricket tournament here at Saudi where the team bagged the first place defeating M K Group in the keenly contested fight. Out of the 16 teams participating in the tourney, AMACO (Mangaloreans) clashed head-on with MK Group (Pakistanis) after turning victorious in league matches held during a span of four weeks.
AMACO won the final match by 20 runs.
AMACO won the toss and opted to bat first. The team's amazing performance fetched it 168 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Nazeer and Zubair scored 48 and 56 each for AMACO. In reply the M K Group managed to score only 148 loosing all their wickets. Hafeez and Shabeer of AMACO bagged 3 wickets each. An excellent catch and run outs by Imran turned the match in favour of AMACO.
