M’lore: SCDCC, Navodaya Trust to hold convention on Jun 16

Mangalore, Jun 11: On behalf of its branches, staff and self-help group members of South Canara District Central Co-Operative Bank Limited (SCDCC) and Navodaya Grama Vikasa Charitable Trust will jointly hold a brainstorming convention and thanksgiving ceremony for the newly elected MLAs and the ministers, said M N Rajendra Kumar, president of SCDCC Bank.

He was addressing at the press meet held on Tuesday June 11, at the bank head office.

The convention and the ceremony will be held on Sunday June 16 at 10.30 am at Loyola hall, St Aloysius College, here. Oscar Fernandes, MP and chief secretary, All India Congress Committee, will preside over the programme.

State ministers Ramanath Rai, Vinay Kumar Sorake, U T Khadar, K Abhaychandra Jain, S R Pateel and Kimmane Rathnakar, along with the MLA’s K Vasanth Bangera, S Angara, Haladi Srinivas Shetty, Shakuntala Shetty, Gopal Poojary, J R Lobo, Pramod Madhwaraj,m Sunil Kumar and Moideen Bawa, will be felicitated in the presence of the bank staff and members of the Navodaya self-help group.

Various memorandums seeking quick response to the problems faced by the farmers and the self-help groups will be submitted to the honorary ministers and the MLAs, he added.

Vinay Kumar Soorinje, B Niranjan, Rajaram Bhat, Raju poojary, A V teertharam, Vadiraj Shetty, Bhaskar S Kotian, K S Devraj, Raghuram Shetty, M Gopalkrishna Bhat, A S Jayappa and others were present.
