Mangalore, Jun 13: In an alleged attempt to murder, a man was brutally attacked by nine men at Adyar here on Thursday June 13.

The victim has been identified as Ghafoor (40), a resident of Kannur here.

It is said that Ghafoor was passing through Adyar in his bike when nine persons on three bikes moved towards him and attacked him with sharp weapons, causing him serious injuries.

All nine fled the spot immediately.

Ghafoor was rushed to Unity hospital. He is said to be out of danger.

Sources said that out of the nine who attacked him, a few are rowdy sheeters. Personal enmity is said to be the reason for the attack.

It is so funny and fishy deal to understand,so far no one is arrested nor FIR is filed in Barke station regarding the attack on 2 Policemen,Damodar and Eshwarswamy. My question to Police heads-"Why no one is arrested" When I visited them in Athena Hospital,I came to know that a Corporator is involved. Whatever the reason We the Public wanted to know the name of the Corporator. Public Elected Him and Public pay taxes for His living a luxury life. I am requesting Media to get involved and solve the mystery. I will be meeting JR to discuss the matter.
