Mangalore: Punished for mistakes not committed by BJP - C T Ravi

Mangalore, Jun 14: "We were sure of winning in four constituencies in the district, but received unexpected results in the assembly elections. A few incidents at the state level, vote divide and an anti-BJP lobby worked together to defeat us," said former district in-charge minister C T Ravi.

Addressing media persons at district BJP office, the former minister said, "BJP will correct its mistakes in the next elections. In some cases, we were punished for mistakes which were not committed by us."

"In my eight months' tenure as a district in-charge minister I have visited all the constituencies and I am happy that I have responded to people’s problems," he said.

About the newly-formed Congress government, he said, "It is not right to either praise or criticize the new government.

Commenting on the state government’s decision to withdraw the proposal on cow slaughter ban, the former minister said, "The government, instead of strengthening the old bill, is withdrawing it. It is a wrong decision. The decision might have provoked thieves to steal cattle from a temple in Uppinangady."

He further added, "In national politics, various cases of misuse of public money have taken place. The Congress-led UPA government is involved in a number of scams and as a result the country is burdened with financial crisis. People are grappling with increase in prices of essential commodities, rupee value is decreasing day by day and so on. With this being the country’s condition, we are in need of a good leader and people want Narendra Modi to be that person, as he can take the country forward like the way he developed Gujarat."

He also condemned the CM's statement whereing he had said that he appointed K J George as home minister to restore the confidence of minorities.

Confident of BJP winning the general elections next year, C T Ravi said the party's internal election for various committees like regional, zonal and district will be held from June 15.

    Thanks to CM Mr.Siddharamayya for
appointing Mr.K.J.George as the Home Minister.I am quite sure that he will stop all moral policing by some communal groups in the name of culture.People of Karnataka,
    particularly,the people of Coastal
    Karnataka(DK & Udupi Dists) want a
very peaceful living which was totally destroyed by some fanatic
    groups during BJP rule.C.T.Ravi and
    BJP leaders should understand and
accept their mistakes.Money and muscle power is temporary. And People's power is much more stronger than Muscle Power.BJP would have come to power again if they had given good governance, protection to the minority communities etc. Because of BJP's hatred towards minorities now they have shifted their support to the Congress Party. And they have strong faith in Congress Party and also in CM and the Home Minister. So C.T.Ravi's preaching will not help BJP anyways.

As far as the damage caused by BJP to mangalore in particular is the hatred created between communities and safronisation of police (especially lower ranked ones). You got the verdict and finally people of mangalore won. Hope congress now put their heads down & work for betterment of society and south kanara or else they will face same fate

The corruption at the highest level, moral policing, attack on minorities etc is all there on white paper. I feel good sense also previals with congress as it is said BJP and congress are the 2 sides of the same coin. I hope the congress top cadre take note of the working of the Karnataka politicians.

Mr CT.Ravi has to say to the followers of his party who voted against his party who are those attackers to home stay or any other business activity like beating up young girls in the name of moral policing.Pick up any issue like cat playing with its tail when there is nothing do.Who attacked the worshiping places in the name of conversions.Who went after young couples or even bros sisters thinking they are lovers.lovers has a right and it is natural.People commit suicide for the cause of love are attacked in the name of moral policing.Who supported them instead of punishing and sending them into the jail to make jagarane there.Who tried to Mangalore as laboratory of religion which failed.
It is not correct to say mistakes instead of hate culture. If your party allows other religions to live peacefully and work for them definitely your party is accepted as an alternative to congress.
