Mangalore, Jun 14: 9 couples tied the knot here on Wednesday June 12 at a mass wedding ceremony organized by Nusratul Masakeen association, Alekala Ullal at Unity hall in Thokottu.wed_140613-1 to 15

The mass wedding ceremony was performed under the guidance of Mangalore Khazi Shaikana Twaka Ahmed Musliyar.

The newly married couples are Nabeesa and Akkarekere Ziyad, Parveen Banu and Ahmed Kabeer, Fouziya and Musthafa, Asma B and Ilyas, P Zubeida and Mohammed Ghous, Haleema and Siraj, Mumtaz and Nazeer, Umairat and Saifullah, and Asiyamma and Mohammed Ashraf.

Abdul Azeez from New India construction presided over the programme.

K A Ashraf, former mayor of MCC, entrepreneur Kanachur Abdul Rehman, UK Bava, owner of Gujrath seafood, US Nihal, treasurer of Nusratul Masakeen association, fisheried owner U S Haneef, Abdul Khader from BH Traders, Riyaaz Bava from Bava fish mills, dry fish merchant PP Isacc, U S Aboobakkar, Fazal, Ullal municipality member Abdul Pathak, Abdul Samad Coastal, Abdul Rehman, Ismail Hajabba, Rahamat Alekala, Shamsir, Mammi Kunhi, Dennis D’Souza among others were part of the wedding ceremony.

Mohammed Twaha, president of Nusratul Masakeen association welcomed the gathering, Yahya Tanjal delivered the welcome address, K M K Manjanady compered while U K Abdulla, honorary president delivered the vote of thanks.
