Udupi: Body of missing auto driver from Mangalore found at Kaup beach

Udupi, Jun 14: The body of a man from Mangalore who went missing last week was found at Muloor seashore, Kaup here on Friday June 14.

The deceased has been identified as Sridhar Poojary (48), a rickshaw driver from Neermarga, Mangalore. He had gone missing last Tuesday near Jeppu bridge in Mangalore.

On Friday morning, the locals at the seashore noticed the body of a middle-aged man floating on the water and immediately informed the Kaup police.

The police led by Suresh Shetty arrived at the spot and brought the body ashore with the help of the locals.

The body was decomposed beyond recognition. The police then got in touch with the control room, and based on the information obtained, succeeded in establishing the identity of the deceased.

It is said that Poojary was going through acute financial problems.

He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

Kaup police have registered a case and investigation is on.

    This is sad to put three lives in such a situation. He must have married without money (Which is acceptable to some extent), produced two kids and now left them to ponder themselves which is not acceptable...!!
