M'lore: Stany Baretto releases 4th CD on 50th Birthday

Mangalore, Jun 15: Devotional Kannada Audio CD, 'Enthaha Prema Prabhu' was released here in Mangalore at Milagres Jubilee Hall,  by Fr Valerian D Souza, Parish Priest, Milagres Church , Mangalore,  on the occasion of 50th Birthday Celebration of Stany Baretto, teacher by profession.

This CD contains 10 hymns in Kannada. The lyrics are written and composed by Stany Baretto himself and this is his fourth CD in a row. Stany Baretto has been in the teaching profession since last 28 years, presently teaching at Padua High school, Mangalore.


He has gifted this CD to all the schools of Mangalore South and North zones and handed over 900 prints to Aloysius D Souza, President , Head Masters Association on this occasion. DDPI,  Moses Jayashekar, Fr Michael Santhumayor, Fr Mukthi Prakash, Hemacharya, Editor , Daijiworld Weekly , H M Pernal , Editor , Kittall.com , Francis D Cunha , Harold Monterio , Reema Baretto and others were present on dias on this occasion. 

Accepting the responsibility of distributing the CDs to all schools of Mangalore South and North Zones , Aloysious D Souza expressed his gratitude and spoke about the lyrics and composition of Stany Baretto with a special mention of his disciplined life and love for pens.

The programme began with prayer song followed by prayer dance. Stany Baretto welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr Mukthi Prakash,  Administrator of St Antony Ashram raised the toast for 50th Birthday  to Stany. Fr Mujkthi Prakash said -  Stany is a multi-talented person and his middle name is also Francis just like him. As such talent wise he is second to our Pope Francis and he is the last.  Though Stany is teacher by profession , he shares a major share of his earnings with poor and needy. 

Expressing his feelings Stany said , “So far I have produced 4 Audio CD's and donated to the society. I am not selling my CDs. This is my way of giving back to the society what I have received from society. "Enthaha Prema Prabhu", will be distributed in Mangalore South and North schools free. The hymns in the CD will enlighten the minds of the young students.”

On this occasion , Stany Baretto handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh to  the Administrator of St Antony Ashram Fr Francis D'Souza.

Vincent Mendonca compered the prgramme and Shiboni Baretto delivered the vote of thanks.

Harry's Silver Band and Chakrapani dance troupe entertained the guests followed by fellowship and dinner.
