Fr Edwin D'Souza appointed youth director of Udupi diocese

Udupi, Jun 16: Fr Edwin D’Souza has been appointed the youth director of Udupi diocese by Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of the diocese.

He will be the director of ICYM, YCS and YSM of the Udupi diocese.

Fr Edwin D’Souza took charge on Saturday June 15 in the presence of the bishop at the Bishop’s House, Udupi.

During the brief take-over ceremony, the bishop conducted the service in the presence of a small gathering 

Fr Edwin made his profession of faith in the presence of Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo. Fr Reginald Pinto, the parochial adminstrator of St Anthoy’s Church, Kuntalnagar near Moodubelle, Fr Henry Mascarenhas, the estate manager of Udupi diocese were present during the occasion.

Fr Edwin D’Souza was the parish priest of Sacred Heart Church at Kolalgiri of Kallianpur deanery. He has also served as youth director of Udupi district prior to the formation of Udupi diocese.

    Congrats Dear Fr Edwin. I am belonging to kolalgiri parish. Fr Edwin is having great interest in youth. Always think about childrens, thier movements and keep informed thier parents. He is very descipline guy. I have seen lot changes in our parish. There used to be some groupism in our parish. Now every thing is ok. People of our parish became educated and now they are behaving in desciplened manner. Nice to have Fr like you Edwin, All the best for your new role.
