London: Kannadigaru-UK hosts fun-filled sports event

London, Jun 16: Kannadigaru-UK (KUK) with its strong foothold in the United Kingdom organised a mega sports day event to foster physical and recreational activities amongst Kannada and other south Indian community members at Reading, UK.

The sports programme was inaugurated with the traditional ribbon cutting by Ranjith Shetty of UAE Exchange- UK.

In his inaugural address he appreciated and congratulated the organisers for their cent percent effort  and commitment in organising such sports events. He also dedicated the badminton sports trophy to one of his close friends the late Dr Bharath Rai, who’s 5th death anniversary falls this month. A minute's silence was observed by other close friends of the late Dr Bharath Rai.

The sports events included cricket, badminton, slow cycle race and other games as well fun activities.

Arun Raghvendra and team, organisers, Kanadigaru-UK conducted sport games and distributed prizes to the winners in the presence of Ranjith Shetty, Dr Arvind Shetty, Narayan Hedge and other dignitaries.

There was a raffle draw at the end and ten people from the audience won the lucky draw.

Arun Raghavendra proposed the vote of thanks.
