Bantwal, Jun 18: Fr Eric Crasta has been chosen to be the parish priest at Our Lady of Dolours Church, Vittal.
The parish council members along with the parishners welcomed the new priest to the church at a programme organised for the same on Sunday June 16 at 4 pm.
Fr Eric was specially welcomed by the Puttur vicar general Fr Gerarld D'souza.
Fr Eric Crasta, a native of Narampady was ordained in the year 1990. He was previously a part of the Fr Muller Charitable instituition as assistant director' assistant editor and managing editor at Rakhno weekly; parish priest at Thannirbhavi for 3 years.
He was also the director at St Philomena Institute, Puttur and from 2010 he was the principal at St Joseph College, Jeppu.
