Ajman, Jun 20: A high profile delegation representing the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) led by Gloria O Abumere, Registrar, and Augustine C.Ezeugwn, Head of Training visited the Gulf Medical University (GMU) to discuss accreditation of Pharm D program offered by Gulf Medical University which would pave way for the registration of GMU Pharm D students as pharmacist in Nigeria.
The visiting delegates were accorded a warm welcome by the Provost, Gita Ashok Raj and the deans and directors of respective academic units of GMU.

A series of meetings were hosted between the visiting delegates and the GMU academic team. The delegates were presented details of the Pharm D program offered by GMU followed by a visit to the various departments and other physical facilities including the GMC Hospital in Ajman.

The visiting delegates were highly impressed with the global composition of the university community which is made up of an international faculty drawn from 22 countries and a student cohort from 67 countries including the high standards of education offered by the college of Pharmacy.

The visiting delegates were also very impressed with the curricula and training provided by the Gulf Medical University & GMC Hospital, Ajman and have expressed that this will facilitate the registration of Pharmacy graduates to register with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) for practice upon graduation from GMU after complying with the council regulations.
