I have known Sunith Nivas for the past several decades. A man of character and sincerity. Whenever I visited him he used to greet me with broad smile and because of my frequent visits to U.S.A. he and his staff used to term me as America Gonsalves.

Once I had to go to him for the repairs of my Seico watch. This watch had stopped working in United States and I when went to a repair shop I was quoted $40/- for the job. Sunith Nivas repaired it in ten minutes and charged me Rs.35/-.

Sunith had stopped working from his shop opp. Government Collegeand since I knew him well I had to go his home to meet him and he was indeed thrilled to meet me. He was a bit upset with one of his sons migrating to Australia.

Sunith is not dead but will continue to live in the hearts of all those who loved him including myself.

I offer my sincere condolences to his sons Sujit, Sudhir and Rajiv. May HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE,

    Joe Gonsalves

    I’ve only just a minute
    Only 60 seconds in it.
Forced upon me, can’t refuse it.
Didn’t seek it, didn’t choose it,
But it’s up to me to use it.
I must suffer if I lose it,
Give account if I abuse it.
    Just a tiny little minute,
    But eternity is in it.
