M'lore: AI Express flight from Dammam diverted to Kozhikode

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jun 21: The Air India Express Dammam-Mangalore-Kozhikode flight that arrived in the city in the wee hours on Thursday June 20 could not land here because of unfavourable weather conditions. The flight had reached the city at around 3 am, but because of cloudy weather, visibility was hampered.

The flight was then diverted to Kozhikode. There were 85 Mangalore-bound passengers in the flight. They were brought back from Kozhikode through another flight after about six hours.

Some of the passengers opted to travel by road from Kozhikode, as next flight to Mangalore was several hours away. The others came back in the Muscat flight. Other flights from and to the city operated normally.
