Kundapur, Jun 27: Anand (42), who was travelling in a Tata Ace goods vehicle, was critically injured after a private bus hit his vehicle near Hanglur in the town on Wednesday June 25. Anand is a resident of Vandse Noojady in the taluk

The goods vehicle was being brought from its showroom in Koteshwar to check for mechanical defects. It was being driven by a driver from the showroom, while its owner, Anand, was sitting by the side of the driver. At the divider at Hanglur, as soon as the vehicle turned right to go back to the showroom, a private bus hit it from behind.

The vehicle tumbled to the ground because of the impact of the collision, and Anand was sandwiched between the vehicle and the road. With the help of some passersby, the vehicle was lifted, and Anand was rushed to a private hospital here.

Because of the collision, front portion of the bus and a portion of the goods vehicle were damaged very badly.  The driver of the show room escaped with minor injuries. A case stands registered in the traffic police station here.
