Mysore, Jun 27: Policemen from Udayagiri station here, on Wednesday June 26, arrested three persons including a man, who had sold his two-year-old son for Rs 20,000, in order to be able to feed his addiction for liquor. Nissar Khan, father of the child and resident of A J Block in Ganesh Nagar here, middleman, Zafrulla, and buyer, Sikander, were arrested by the police.

Nissar Khan, who has been heavily addicted to liquor, had stopped working long back. He has two wives, and three children from the first wife, and two from the second. Reportedly, he also forcibly snatched away the earnings of his two wives who work as coolies, to buy liquor.

Three days ago, he had taken away his two-year-old son, Jia Khan, born out of his second wife. When he came back, he was alone. As he did not give satisfactory reply about her queries relating to her son’s disappearance, the second wife had filed a police complaint, suspecting that her husband had sold her son.

Nissar Khan, who was brought to the police station, confessed that he had sold his son to Sikandar from Rajeev Nagar for Rs 20,000.  Police inspector, Ashokananda, said that Sikander had bought the child for being vested with a childless relative in Bangalore.

After questioning, the child was handed over to mother, Parveen Taj. The policemen are continuing with investigation.

What a worm of a man who sells his one flesh and blood to satiate his liquor addiction. I suggest that both the wives should join hands and kick him out of the house on the street and beat the daylights out of him. Nothing is impossible for a woman who is roused by injustice. Why should they allow this man to rob them of their hard earned wages, which should feed their children and not the liquor urge of their husband. What is there to enquire in this case I do not understand. Put him in Jail along with hardened criminals. Daily bashing from these thugs may straighten him out and who knows it may stop his addiction too.
