Bishop Aloysius said “Most patients approach Father Muller Hospital because the healing process there comprises love and care in a comfortable environment.” It is a well known fact that all Christian institutions (small or big) go beyond our recognition and do a yeoman service for the betterment of humans irrespective of caste or creed. Yet we are always at the receiving end .. though at many times for no fault of ours. How strange.

It is indeed very good to see that Father Muller's Charitable Institutions are making all round progress in various directions under the patronage of Most Rev. Dr. A.P. D'Souza - bishop of Mangalore. FMCI have amde rapid strides with the leadership of Father Patrick Rodrigues who took over the management of The Hospital and Medical College armed of course with a Master degree in Health Care from a prestigious University in U.S.A. That apart he has had sound experience in Hospital Management having worked for FMCI as an Assistant Director decades ago.

He is presently having great support and assistance from Father Richard Coelho - The administrator who too has had his grounding in FMCI years ago. On The Medical College side there is of course there is the ever willing - ever willing Father Rudolph D'Sa the present administrator who has just taken over the management. The addition of Fr. Roshan Crasta who has recently joined the set up as an Assistant Director make an excellent team.

On the Homeopathy side Father Vincent Saldanha has assumed responsibility as the administrator who has gained a fund of knowledge and experience during the past few years when his posting was at the campus in FMCI, Kankanady.

Making a particular reference to the advancement in the Radiology department there is Dr. H.D. Suresh who has indeed rendered excellent service by effectively managing the department and the acquisition of the new MRI 1.5 testa will rate FMCI among the leading Patient Care Providers.

Indeed Dr. Sanjiv Rai on the hospital side and Dr. J.P. Alva on the Medical College division make a perfect combination for providing the best possible facilities to the patients.

It is good to see Father Muller's making all round progress and have now ensured that they have the best equipment in the MRI department.

The founders like Father Muller and Dr. L.P. Fernandes must be watching the realization of their dream.

I have always been convinced that FMCI does not believe in the second best as their objective is to provide the very best in patient care.

I have been associated with FMCI for over eighty years. Initially as a patient of Dr. L.P. Fernandes lovingly known to his patients and public as LORSAB and later on as a Governing Board member and now as a well wisher and a constant visitor of this great institution the future of which Father Patrick is called upon to guide and strengthen. Of course he has the able guidance of His Lordship The Bishop of Mangalore Rt. Rev. Dr. A.P. D'Souza and the able assistance of Father Richard, Father Rudolph, Father Vincent, Father Roshan along with medical professional guidance from Dr. Rai and Dr. Alva.

I join most of my friends in wishing this mighty institution the best of everything in the future.
