Mangalore: Friction between college students – police complaint filed

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jul 5: The animosity two groups of college students at Mulky were harbouring  against each other, and the verbal friction followed by exchange of blows between them, got a new twist on Thursday July 4, with the filing of police complaint here.

The personnel of Mulky police station, who have received complaints from both the groups, have begun investigation. Some outsiders were involved in assaulting the college students from both the groups outside the college campus, it is alleged. The incident was backed by a trivial incident. The principal of the local college had no knowledge of the incident, it is said.

Parents of the students from both the groups approached the college principal on Thursday, seeking protection for their wards. The principal said that classes will go ahead in the college as usual. He added that incidents which had occurred within the college campus would be brought to the notice of the college management, after which suitable action will be taken against the guilty as per the decision of the managing committee.

    Dear Ajit,
    You are 100% right.
If you observe saffron brigade closely, they follow in action, whom or what they hated most:
    1. Saffron brigade hated 1984 riots and then they sponsored Mumbai, Gujarat and Orissa Riots, & Karnataka attacks.
    2. Saffron brigade hated Pakistan for religious fanaticism and they are practising the same in India.
    3. Saffron brigade hated Missionary schools, accused them proselyting. Now they are not only saffronizing but also politicizing Schools/Colleges students and spoiling their academic future.

All is well if the saffron flags are banned for students. Why they use a saffron flag? what they want to prove by holding a saffron flag?.There is should be code of conduct issued by the IGP and those who carry these flags should be booked for disturbing peace in the campus.
We had protests and processions during our college days but we never had these flags and it was always a secular natured. We stopped buses and forced and convinced the authorities to provide bus stops at places which are convenient for students. Now since the safronizations and ABVP influence the entire student force carry a strange mindset which is very dangerous for the society and students future.
The ABVP is spreading its venom to young students who are not even 16 by age and they are members of ABVP and flag bearers at every protest. There are other activities like NSS and NCC for students but every year there is shortage of cadets.
The young boys feel shy to wear the Khaki of NCC but ready to carry the dark colored flag and wear the RSS Khaki short with bamboo lathi. Where are we leading to?

When people loose focus and purpose, we find them landing in this type of situation!
First of all, Students as well as their parents main focus should be on studies.
They deviated from the main object.
When some institutions trying to inculcate moral values in children for bettering their lives, widespread objection are raised, but same people politicize students career for their Political gain!
If we let our children get influenced by people who have no clear purpose means, lot of confusion in every sphere.

these spoiled kids what else can do, when getting free education, food and pocket money. These students should work or taken student loan to support their education, then all of these things will stop. This is total nonsence, the education places are loosing its purpose and making fighting zones. Alternatively, increase the tuition fees so that at lease student community realize the value and limit themselves.... I know it is cruel but we need to stop these fights in schools and outside goons.

May be some Gunda's or Sangh parivar involved in the incident becuase of future coming election, also all students should remember that college life is frendship till you people leave the college, better note the outsiders who is involved in the incident, all of you join together and bring him inside college campus and teach him unity of the student.

Mr.Ravi, If Congress, NSUI groups are the main cause as you mentioned - are all the students deaf, dumb and blind to fight and protest against each other?

If Congress and NSUI are the cause..then why are the students holding the banner of ABVP and the flags?

It's not rocket science to understand the roots and people behind it.

There was a time when DK/UDUPI College students were very aggressive.Outsiders never peeped to the student world. There was also powerful All COLLEGE STUDENT UNION which looked after student's interest. No body dared to stare @ the students for whatever issues between public and students. Now there are no unity among the students. We are hearing community based disturbances in the campus.ABVP is the main cause for all these problem.Since they are the sister concern of SANGHPARIVAR,the principles & legacy of DIVISIVE politics of SANGHPARIVAR continues.....
