Dubai, Jul 6: Dubai Leisure Holidays have organized a blood donation camp in association with Dubai Blood Donation Center (DBDC) of the Dubai Health Authority on July 7, between 9 am – 1.30 pm as part of its corporate social responsibility by using mobile unit process.

Dubai Leisure Holidays (LLC) has proven record of service and professionalism, personalized service to clients ranging from large tour groups to the individual travelers, leisure to business travelers.
DBDC is the only blood supplier in Dubai. Its services extend to Thalassemia patients (Thalassemia Center at Al Wasl Hospital), road accident and burn victims (Trauma Centre at Rashid Hospital), patients with neonates and maternity health complications (Latifa Hospital), cases diagnosed with cancer or scheduled for open heart operations (Dubai Hospital) as well as to all private health facilities within Dubai that are entitled for transfusion services.
To donate blood you should: be in good health, be at least 17 years of age. The upper age limit is 65 and should be of at least 50 kg (110 pounds) in weight. One can donate blood every 90 days.
You are not eligible to donate blood if you:
• Are sick (cold, flu, sore throat or diarrhea)
• Have taken antibiotics within the last five days
• Have had dental work within the last three days
• Are anemic
• Are pregnant
• Have had any ear/body piercings, or have had a tattoo, within the last year
The public are welcome to donate blood.
