Abu Dhabi, Jul 8: ISC Toast Masters Abu Dhabi organized their centurion meeting with a grand celebration on Friday June 28, at the India Social and Cultural Centre, here.
The tenth meeting of the ISC Toastmaster Club meeting was attended by well know dignitaries of UAE namely chief guest Padmashree Dr B R Shetty, guest of honour TM Sudhir Kumar Shetty (sponsor of ISC TM Club). Also present at the meeting were Ravi Rai (VP-HR NMC), Shekar Shetty (Arab Udupi) and many other dignitaries.
ISC president Sathya Babu welcomed the gathering and ISC acting president Rajan Zachariah invited the dignitaries on the dais for lighting of traditional lamp which included the chief guest, guest of honour and ISC TM Club president: TM Pandari V Thomas, ISC TM Club Incoming President TM Basil Consera Sylvester, ISC TM Club Charter President TM Jayaram Rai, attended by TM Sudha Datta ( past div governor, dist 20), TM Anil Akakkineni (past area governor 55) TM Ravindra Rai, ISC hon assist general secretary : M A Wahab ISC hon lit secretary : Dharmendra Negi and all managing committee members.
On the special occasion of 100th meeting celebration a huge cake was cut by the chief guest Padmashree Dr B R Shetty and guest of honour TM Sudhir Kumar Shetty along with all the dignitaries on the dais plus members of gavel club of ISC.
The humorous speeches were delivered by TM Riya and TM Riju and entertained the audience with their speeches. Thereafter humorous table topic speeches were conducted by TM Jayaram Rai and TM Sanny wherein TM Mathew Curian, TM Sunil, TM Noel Fernandes, TM Bharat and TM Deepa Shetty participated and delivered the table topic speeches humorously.
TM Rao conducted the installation of new committee members for the new year including the Gavel Club and took the oath from each committee members.
A two minutes silence was observed for the victims of Uttarakhand flood disaster and also a brief power point presentation on done on the disaster and a collection box was organized for the donations to be sent to the victims through ISC TM Club.
Dr B R Shetty speaking on the occasion praised the members for their hard work and dedication to the ISC toastmaster club and their various achievements. He also said many great leaders of past and present were the beneficiary of the toastmasters club. He specially applauded great achievements reached and success of UAE Exchange Centre by Sudhir Kumar Shetty (COO Global – UAE Exchange Centre) and NMCs tremendous growth. He contributed all these achievements to the toastmaster club wherein members have become great leaders and speakers.
Sudhir Kumar Shetty wished the club members all success and also thanked Dr B R Shetty for his continual support to toastmaster clubs of NMC and ISC.
Also on the occasion ISC Toastmaster Club honoured Padmashree Dr B R Shetty and Sudhir Kumar Shetty for their support and also all other TM members, seniors and achievers were honoured.
Dr B R Shetty released the ISC Toastmasters TM News Letter of the century meeting (Editor TM Manmohan) and also Gavel Club News Letter (chief editor Gav Tharanath Rai S/O TM Jayaram Rai) was released by Sudhir Kumar Shetty.
The ISC Toastmaster Club was started in 2009 under the able and dynamic leadership of TM Jayaram Rai and today it is one of the most popular toast masters club in UAE. It is also has the distinction of having achieved world no 1 for the membership show case event. The meeting was attended by more than 200 people including Toastmasters, family members and guests. The meeting was blended with the essence of Toastmasters activities with lots of entertainments/music/dance and fun.
The end of the function candle lit delicious dinner was served to the dignitaries and all those who attended the 100th ISC Toastmasters meeting.
The entire event was conducted by MC's Subhoda Sujith and TM Reju wonderfully and with a few interesting jokes and entertained the audience.
