Mangalore, Jul 12: A young man and a girl were found to have allegedly attempted suicide near a railway track close to lodge here on Friday July 12.

It is said that the train driver of Mavali Express had informed the station master on Friday morning that a boy and a girl had tried to commit suicide. However, nothing was found even after a search.

Later in the day, the boy and girl, aged 24 and 18 respectively, were found unconscious near the railway track close to Karuna lodge at Old Kent Road.

Both had injury marks on their body, reportedly made by a sharp object like knife. It is suspected that they had also consumed poison.

On questioning, they said that they were from Chennai and had come to the city on Thursday July 11 night. However, the reason for taking the extreme step is not yet known.

Pandeshwar police arrived on the spot and investigated. The boy and the girl were shifted to hospital.

Why all these people from bangalore/chennai/northernkarnataka/mysore come to Mangalore for committing suicide ?

Feel sorry for this young couple. They do not knw how to come out of love-jinx. There should be some pain-redressal in place for such victims. Suicide is just a short cut to avoid pain.

Because Chennai Police is always busy, Mangalore Police is always free if some one not carry cows and buffalo's. They knows our Mangalore police always only behind the cows shelter. not behind the human beings.
