Sullia: Two poachers arrested, deer skin seized

Sullia, Jul 16: Police officials from the Forest conservation department on Sunday July 14 night arrested two poachers who were about to sell deer skin in Panja.

The arrested are identified as Ramachandra from CR colony in Sunkadakatte and Vijayakanath. Police have seized deer skin from their possession.

Police on receiving authentic information that poachers were about to sell deer skin, they raided the place and arrested duo.

The arrested are booked under the wildlife act and were produced before court.

Umesh Uppalike, SI of Forest conservation department, officials – Karunakar Challangaru, Suresh Sharma, Karunakar P N, Ravindra, Dayanand Hosulike, Umesh and Jeep driver Umesh were part of the investigation.
