GODS DONT NEED MONEY FOR THE CHURCHES OR TEMPLES OR MOSQUES. IT IS GREEDY PEOPLE WHO USE IT FOR THEIR OWN GOOD. WE CAN FILE RTI n expose the govt deals. Why can't BJP expose the use of churches 100 cr. Most churches had spent millions when constructing hospitals and schools from last 80 plus years but none appreciated them. now GOD knows y suddenly siddu wakes up to give 100 cr?. yeddy also promised same since he was main to attack n destroy church in mlore attack and he paid with his power loss. he even went on to praise sonia hoping she would take himm into congress. but congress people r smart and know that these hypocrite yeedy are good at parlaiment video watching and rave parties and infighting and iron ore scams. let BJP file RTI and take back 100 cr. V have been spending millions on education and hospitals and most BJP guys also utilised same for their kids education...but now theyr cursing same christians. every lie will lead to a curse. so speak the truth and save ur future geneartations

    Dear all
Almost 70% of Kannadigas are followers of maths and temples. If you think 616 is more for them, then why did congress give 100 crore for only 0.5% of Christians of the state in the first year budget itself.

Pai said government was not going to give money from its pockets but implement the scheme by using tax-payers money. If government does this, it is nothing but looting money of the tax-payers

Huge money would go down the drain by targeting feeding one crore people belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category but it would have been good if they had promised to distribute it to about 30 lakh people instead.

Giving rice at Re one per kg for one crore people - neither that much of rice is available nor money.

Atleast government should utilise Rs 4,000 crore odd money to implement skill development schemes, instead of implementing Re one kg rice scheme. "Money spent on skill development programmes will create an opportunity for people to earn their livelihood"

Rs 616 Crore for 3 years is a very less amount for 13,027 temples and maths . Congress government should increase this amount. But don't release the government money to temples which are outside Karnataka.

It is very less even not affecting Tax Payers Money compare to present Government’s “AHINDA – means Minority, Backward Communities and Dalits” Budget Allocation for their uplift. More over if Indian Government doesn’t give donation to Hindu Temples or Maths then which other Countries will give donation to Majority Hindus in India? They collect from rich Indian Temples and give it back to required one. No one can question about this donation nor they have right to ask this question too. BJP is the only party in India who takes care of Hindu Temples and Math

The Subrahmanya Temple is one of the famous temples of South India.
The temple, has again emerged as the richest muzrai (government-run) temple in Karnataka. Figures released by the office of commissioner for religious endowments show the temple had a revenue of Rs 66.76 crore during the last fiscal.
Taking the second place in terms of revenue is the 'Male Mahadeshwara Temple' in Chamarajanagar district with estimated revenue of Rs 31 crore.
Kollur's Sri Mookambika temple, in Udupi district, is the third richest with estimated revenue of Rs 20 crore.
This figures released by goernment. If collected money utilised for development of other temples is it wrong?

This not tax Payer money by any stretch of imagination.
This money collected from Hindu Temple Hundis by the Muzrai Dept of Govt which was returned back RIGHTLY by the BJP govt.Since this Hindu devotees Hundi money non-devotees have not locus standi to complain unless they agree for the churches and mosques also to be under govt control!
Compare this to Cong Siddaramiah Govt which gives 100 crore of tax payer money to Christians alone!

    Dear Avinash-Udupi,
Why you are Jealous on grants on Christians !! In India just count how many Schools/Colleges/ Techical Institutions run by Christians and how many are benefitted by these- irrespective of caste, creed and religion? Today they have taken interest to build a society and mold a citizen as "Human" and they deserve it . Lets join hand for the just cause and welcome the idea of Equality and secularism!!

I do not think anything wrong in it.
Guys just divide 616cr with 13000 temples so approximately 5.lakh per temple not a big deal.
I am sure temple daily income will be that much.. so I do not think BJP government had done anything wrong in this case..

But there are other 1000 of corruption with BJP.. so don't think you get clean chit on this..

There were few people who woed for issuing 100 cr for Christians. Now those people got their answers.
