Mangalore: Janardhan Poojary slams Narendra Modi for 'puppy’ remark

Mangalore, Jul 16: The ‘puppy’ comment made by Narendra Modi regarding the post-Godhra riots has hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community, said former union minister and Congress leader Janardhan Poojary.

The remark, made by Gujarat CM Narendra Modi in an interview to Reuters recently with reference to post-Godhra riots, wherein he had stated that one feels sad even when a puppy comes under the wheel of a car, has become an issue of national debate.

Addressing media persons at district Congress office on Tuesday July 16, Poojary said, "Narendra Modi is not at all eligible to become Prime Minister. His ideology is dangerous not only for minorities but for all communities as he is cheating the country with his lies."

Terming Modi as 'Sardar of lies', he said, "If Modi becomes the Prime Minister, then the condition of the country will be the worst. He will not become the PM as people are aware of his deeds. If he comes to Karnataka again, BJP will be digging its own grave, the way as it happened in the recent Assembly elections.

"After ‘puppy’ comment, Modi charged Congress with wearing the ‘burqa of secularism’ and thereby targetted the Muslim community again with that remark," he said.

In reply to Modi’s allegation that Congress did not give importance to higher education, Poojary said, "Under UPA regime, the number of IITs was increased from 8 to 13 and universities from 17 to 44. Modi does not know the laws and cannot follow them either."

Modi is choosen for prime minister candidate and candidate should know to speak with the public, media and should use the right tone, right words and should talk respecting everybody community their concerns and respect, But I feel modi is not even to become peon looking at his words. I have many hindu friends and muslim friends but I am not afraid of anyone and respect everybody concerns, but I am afraid of people (hypocrites, cheaters) (jis thaali mein khaayenge usi mein ched karenge - The plate you eat you will make hole in that plate only).

And you are right what will happen if all BJP actors start to act …do not forget that it is the ‘Hindutva triumph card’ that the congress is worried about.Congress has to play safe with few minority votes and rest all from the majority community who do not agree with ‘ Hindutva politics’.Imagine What will happen to Togadia and Modi if the minority becomes the majority for one day? Sonia may go Italy but where all this jokers will go?

Modi will be a 'Dhobi ka Puppy' as soon he resigns from his CM seat if he win the MP seat.The topbrass in BJP will use him like a football.He will be pulled by Gadkari ,kicked by Advani,and pushed by Sushma so he will keep rolling in the Indian political ground that has no boundary and no goal point. Dear Bhaskar,Shirva,its a wrong notion spread by vested interests to malaign poojary.Allegation that he looted/created loss to the bank through mela.One may not like poojary but he is not corrupt like other.Yes his words are liked by many for obvious reasons.Do you know that poor and economically backward people could not dare to enter the banks to approach the branh Manager for a small loan of 3000 or 5000 for his bonafide needs till popularised the sala mela.Yes sala mela loans ,some protions might have written by banks but those amounts are very very negligible compared to bigger write off by same banks later years belonging to bigger corporates.Please be understood that those matters were kept secrets by bankers under the pretext of 'confidential matters'.
This is the real truth.

This is over reaction. It seems that Congress leadership is digging its own grave. This shows that Congress lacks ammunition and integrity.

I request all politicians not to think that people are fools. In fact, people are more intelligent than politicians.

Is really Poojary want to make "puppy" an issue? That too with the intelligent public of South Kanara? People in their normal senses would take the “puppy” comment in the right spirit.
In fact, once a dog came under my car in Kumta. Neither me, nor my family / children could tolerate the pain & the sound made by the dog (aarthanaada) for months :-( Our tour to Goa was shattered & since then we go to Goa by train only. It is very painful even I am indirectly responsible.

Whatever Janardhan Poojary said was right.. I don't understand why people are against his comments... Especially people from majority community... I listened the speech of Narendra Modi. When Reporter ask Narendra Modi about Godhra Riots, He replies "one feels sad even when a puppy comes under the wheel of a car" - What does Modi mean by saying this? Why he took the incident for puppy here? I am surprised people going to an extent of supporting modi even When he refers minorities as puppies.. Modi you rot in hell.. I am afraid what will be the condition of minorties if Modi becomes PM and I also request hindu brothers to not to support modi as he is dangerous to the unity, diversity, peace of our country.

Please get copies of the full text of Modi's speeches in its original(not doctored) and get it translated by a learned Kannada Pandit in Mangalore and then read it to see wheather Modi is really meant for what you are propagating at the instance of your bosses.This is nothing but 'manda buddi'.
