Mangalore, Jul 17: Several boxes of expensive Jaquar Wall Mixer 3-in-1 (system with provision for both hand shower and overhead shower) and Rs 49,173 in cash were stolen from an exclusive tiles and sanitaryware showroom in the city on the night of Thursday July 18.

The theft was reported at PC Mallappa & Co, an exclusive showroom for tiles and sanitaryware located near Highland Hospital, Falnir road in the city.

The incident came to light when the employees opened the store at 9 am on Friday, July 19. Several boxes of wall mixers each costing over Rs 3,000, were stolen. In addition, nearly 50,000 cash, the closing balance of the previous day, was also taken. The total loss is estimated at Rs one lac.

The burglars reportedly entered the building after breaking the shutter lock from the rear side. There is no sign of any damage, whatsoever, as the robbers easily broke the lock.

More than 15 closed circuit (CC) cameras are fixed at exit points and inside the showroom. However, the manager said, “The device is directly connected to the main switch. We put off the main switch before closing the showroom."

The police who checked the computer for CCTV footage said, "All the CC cameras have recorded clippings only till 8 pm, there are no other video records."

Sources among the staff suspect that the theft may be handiwork of people who knew the showroom well.

The thieves decamped with items from the first floor, where the customers do not have entry even during business hours.

The thieves have left the boxes and taken away only the expensive wall mixers. The police have inspected the spot and registered a case.

How about we make you "Siddu" for taking over Government from our CM Siddu so that all these thefts and crimes will not occur in our State.
    What do you say?
You have to guarantee that no lawlessness will prevail during your incharge of the State.

Many a times people say things just for the sake of saying (actually they are the most useless\trouble mongerers) I am sure you are not one of them...

When the incident took place in Pump Well few days back, some supporters of the government in this forum have already passed a bill that all thefts are petty & government has no role to play.
I request the thieves to go and steal something from the house of these people, as they may even give you a grand feast also for your gracious entry into their home.

Dear Mallappa, whats the use of installing CCTV which is not recording during night time or during off work hours??? this is the time when it needs to record not only to spy on your employees or customers if they flick some Jaguar into their pockets. I think these people need to be educated first regarding the use of security systems other CCTV in India will be only limited for recording MMS's in metro or in the changing rooms & showers.
Am sure some insider's involvement is there who gave news to the burglars that all the 15 cameras wont work after 8PM.

LOl, Rajesh Shettre, er anna ir ??, Please don't insult by associating me with Congress Camp. By far I am a strongest Congress(party & its communal quota policies & massive corruption over the decades) hater in this forum like my friend Ismail said & a Moderate BJP "Hater"(twisted). Having said that I would not simply want to comment impractical things just for the sake of commenting like some BJPians blame Siddhu for everything or our Ismail alikes who for all occasions blame 2002 & Adhani Group whenever congress is caught in its pants down position.

Ismail Bhai I take you "BEST" compliment humbly & Yes I differ infact staunch against only your political stand as you write in support of corrupt party and try to market it as good party compared to another corrupt party , that's all, nothing personnel, I also acknowledge or agree with your comments on some non-political news. Yes I follow your comments & Anyways I have been trying myself to stop this party bashing nowadays instead just read the news and comment only if I feel I should. Good luck. Lately I feel its waste of time & mood to get involved with this slush.
