Udupi: High tension wire claims young man's life at Alevoor

In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old youth was electrocuted by high-tension wire at Alevoor here on Monday July 22.

The deceased has been identified as Ajay, who was working as a painter.

The incident took place near his uncle's house when he climbed a jackfuit tree to pluck the fruit with the help of a bamboo stick.

Ajay is survived by his parents, two younger brothers and a younger sister.

Fire personnel and police rushed to the spot and removed the body of the deceased from the tree.

ZP member Diwakar Kundar, Alevoor former gram panchayat president Harish Kini, Alevoor Ganeshostava committee president Suresh and others visited the family and expressed their condolence.
