The business plan adjudged as the best at the Entreprenet 2014, which is expected to be attended by over 400 entrepreneurs and professionals, is eligible to get the benefit of mentoring and an opportunity to receive an investment up to Rs 1 Crore out of the Venture Fund through KE network, explained Ivan Fernandes, Chairman of KE Global, a non-profit corporation, which is established for the growth and development of entrepreneurs, corporate executives and professionals and operates through the chapters in Dubai and Bangalore and associated affiliates in Mumbai and Mangalore.

The preliminary rounds of the Emerging Business Plan Contest are being held at three major centres – Mangalore, Bangalore and Mumbai – and the young entrepreneurs or MBA graduates either single or a team of two can draw up plans which should be aimed at addressing the current void in the market and how it could be tackled through the proposed plan, said Adrian D’Souza, Director Finance, KE Bangalore and Coordinator,  Business Plan contest.

''The research applied to work out the idea, commercial viability, technical feasibility, team, finance plan, competition and impact of the government policies will be the key areas for evaluating the successful plan,” said Adrian D’Souza, who himself is a successful entrepreneur and currently heads the Deccan Group of Companies as Managing Director.

The participating contestants are required to present the business plan based on an idea that is technically and commercially viable, unique and aim at furthering, impacting or revolutionizing a particular industrial, community or government. The submissions will be scrutinized by the review committee and if shortlisted and given an opportunity at the host centres for presentation to the jury.

Preliminary rounds will also be held in Mumbai and Bangalore in September. The host centre for the Bangalore preliminary round is Christ University while the venue for the Mumbai round would be finalized shortly, explained Peter Anil Rego, Managing Director of Brilliant Printers Pvt Ltd and Director, Marketing and Sponsoring for Entreprenet 2014.

Entreprenet 2014, which is being held in Bangalore for the first time with the two earlier events held in Mumbai in 2010 and 2012, is planned around the theme of ''Building Business Leaders” to provide a platform for global entrepreneurs and professionals to promote entrepreneurship. It will also serve as the ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs to network and interact with their national and international counterparts for mutual growth and development besides gaining inviolable insights to learn innovative and creative business ideas, said Mark D’Souza.

It is an appreciable initiative to support the entrepreneurs with ideas and innovations.
In the meantime, it is important to avoid the ideas like make the smart phone smarter and free distribution food to the poor.

The necessity to identify the real problems which we are facing today and seek proper solutions to them. Since the poor are capable to work and earn, options must be used to occupy them (instead of leaving them idle and lazy), where they will be more happy and comfortable.

If we notice that the auto industry has failed due to a grave mistake in the initial stage. During the introduction of vehicle engine, instead of replacing merely the bulls with engine, it has kept the bulls with cart and tried to carry and pull the whole dead weight on wheels by force.

Due to this error the entire surface transport sector has been suffering since a couple of centuries, with high volume of expensive fuel consumption, health hazardous air pollution and peace disturbing sound pollution and heavy costs of production, running and maintenance.

A new concept is a perfect remedy to have appropriate solutions with a revolutionary change to make a world of difference. The concept change can save billions of dollars (due to low fuel consumption), eliminate the pollutions (air and sound), reduce costs (production, running and maintenance of vehicles, drastically) and multiply the capacities of existing vehicles to several times.
As the time is precious, let us invest it in the right and most needed spots.
