Mangalore, Jul 29: Hundreds of people gathered to mark 25th day celebration of the Kannada movie ‘Chella Pilli’, here, on Monday July 29.

A procession was carried out in an open jeep from Karavali Maidan to Jyothi Theatre, accompanied by the Nasik band and burst crackers to celebrate the success.

Addressing the media, sandalwood actor Vijay Ragavendra said, “I thank audience for making this film a successful one. The artists, director and producer have worked hard. ‘Chella Pilli’ has a good storyline. We should appreciate Sai Krishna for his passion, producer’s contribution and love of the audience towards the movie. Earlier people of Karnataka knew me because of my simple nature, but Big Boss programme brought me fame. In contemporary scenario people expect films which provide more entertainment. Completing a film is not an easy task as it requires courage and experience. Our team has put in a lot of effort and hence the good outcome.”

Talking about his next film Vijay Ragavendra said, “‘Ranatantra’, will be my next film and there are another two movies lined up.”

Producer Sudesh Bhandary said, “The movie turned out to be successful as we expected. We hope the film completes 100 days. The whole team has worked hard. Some of our audience have watched this movie more than once, and this is a huge compliment for us.”

Actress Aishwarya Nag said, “The support and blessings of audience have made this movie successful. Moreover, I aspire to work in Tulu movies. I belong to coastal region and I like the food and people. All actors, including the whole team have performed well.”

Actors Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Thimappa Kulal, director Sai Krishna and others were present on the occasion.
