Regarding the demand to open the old level-crossing road near APMC from Baikampady industrial area, a railway official said due to various accidents being reported on the railway crossing, the railway board has banned level-crossing in view of safety. About the construction of railway overbridge (ROB) at Baikampady, he said it will be completed in the next 2 years.

The construction of a railway underbridge (RUB) at Bajal level-crossing will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 4.96 crore, with the government and the MCC each putting in 50 percent of the share. In view of the increase in the number of people residing in Jeppu Mahakali Padpu and Jeppu Kudpadi areas, the demand for both ROB and RUB was made. The construction work at Jeppu Mahakali Padpu being borne by the government has encroachment issue. In case of Jeppu Kudpadi, the deposit amount has not been remitted by MCC, for which Nalin Kumar asked the official concerned to take a decision soon.

Doubling of Mangalore Central to Netravathi was in Red ribbon since last 15 years. Nothing heard about still now. Again 4 th & 5 th platform sanctioned 10 years back and still not materialized. If it was in Kerala with in hours Kerala MPs would have done. Whatever progress done till now at Mangalore is by hard work of Kerala MPS pressing, as 90% passengers are Keralites.

For the past 5 years or so we hear lot about upgrading Mangalore Central Railway Station. But nothing has been done so far. And now again same thing we are listening. First of all you better improve the approach roads that leads to Rl. Stn. and then post Kannada speaking staff to the counters.

Mangalore station of world class is good move but first let have minimum 7 platform in which train pertaining to mangalore central should terminate at mangalore central. The railway minister should take up for doubling of track at least from mangalore to mandgaon,so that we can have more shuttle train from mangalore to mandgaon, this will help people residing at mangalore Central.
