Hindu outfits decry insult to Jhansi Rani, praise of Rahul Gandhi in text books

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Jul 30: The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and other like-minded Hindu organizations have launched a statewide campaign against the picturization of Jhansi Rani with a hookah in her hand, in the CBSE syllabus text books.

They said that a historical and legendary brave lady, who sacrificed her life for the freedom of the country, Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai has been insulted by the publication of such a picture on the 138th page of the social science text book of 5th standard under the CBSE curriculum published by the Oriental Blacksmith.

"On the other hand, the students have been misguided with the addition of another new lesson to the curriculum -  the life of Rahul Gandhi which states that he is a simple, attractive, humble, and a visionary politician whom students should follow. This way the textbook committee has been misleading the students by urging them to follow in the steps of corrupt politicians," they alleged.

"This is a highly condemnable move on the part of the educational system," the HJS added.

"It is an act of deception and betrayal to picture a freedom fighter like Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai, with a hookah in her hand - a lady who has fought for her motherland, without fear of her life and won the hearts of lacs of true patriots," they said.

"The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti thus condemns this crime committed by the text book committee and urges the authorities concerned to take proper legal action against the educational board. The person or persons responsible for this should issue unconditional apology and both the lessons must be removed from the syllabus," the HJS demanded.

"In condemnation of this unpatriotic act of the CBSE board, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and all other Hindu organizations have called for a statewide protest on Thursday August 4," HJS informed.

what had rahul gandhi done to our nation? our nation is taken for granted, readers of Daiji world should be united and not fall for raligious discrimniation done by the congress, from the time of independence. We need our nation to be developed and not divide into many states, like the matter of AP now.

    Dear D W Readers,

I am not against Brave Queen Laxmi Bai of Jhansi Kingdom....But find below some facts which is very bitter...

East India Co .done worst atrocities for sake of their benefit. During Sepoy mutinee against British rule only disgruntled kings/Nawab’s and Company soldiers fought against East India Company, like today’ s factory Workers violently fought against Management.

Not a single King/Rulers from South India( eg.Mysore / Hyderabad/ Tiruvancoor/ Cochin) fought against East India Company. Bcoz “ Lord Dawlhousie “ controversial Law “ Doctrine of Lapse “ NOT applied in this states. By the way majority rulers from Central/North and Eastern parts of subcontinent supported East India Co. ( eg. Patiala/Indore/Junagadh / Baroda/ Punjab / Jammu/Tripura/ Bhopal / Rajaputhana etc ) . That means those who got Injustice only fought and remaining people kept their mouth shut for sake of their own benefits.

This was the unity among rulers, Kings and Nawabs during Sepoy mutinee 1857.

As per my view Jhansi Rani Laxi Bai fought against Lord Dawlhousie “controversial Law “Doctrine of Lapse “ bcoz her adopted child deprived from Jhansi Royal Throne.....!!!!!!

Secondly In case this Law was not passed by East India Co. then NO rulers / Nawabs / Kings /Queen’s would have supported Sepoy Mutinee.

Thirdly not Single soldier from Madras Army / Bombay Army revolted against their command( Madras regiment / Coorg Regiment / Poona Horse / Shinde Horse / Punjab Regiment/Sikh Regiment/Goorkha Regiment/Kumav – Garhwal regiment/ Rajaputhana Rifles ) . And East India Company actively used these brave soldiers to brutally suppress the mutineers along with
British Crown Army despatched from Crimean War ( Russo-Turkish War )

Last the Person who prepared CBSC Text book and person who sanctioned ( pure CHAMCHAGIRI / Shoe licking ) definitely got good promotion ( May be he will get MLA ticket )
Its mockery of Indian Education and democracy.

It has been the habit of Congress to supress the real heroes and depict zeroes as heroes. Sardar VB Patel who is the real hero behind unification of post independence India, was kept out of school curriculum until Morarji Desai became the PM. At the same time Jawahar Lal Nehru was made a hero, an image of 'CHACHA nehru, beloved of children' was created in the school books. if anyone can check the old photographs of Nehru, he might rarely find any pictures with children. Rather you may find photos of him playing joker in front of Lady mount Batten.

Congress needs to understand that now the people are open to more resources to refresh their knowledge and the gimmics of early independence era will never work again!

First it was Congress bureau of Investigation now its congress nursery, congress primary school, congress highschool, Congress pre-university college & Congress institute of technology(in looting) and management. Shame on the corrupt communal party.

    Dear Cat,

Whom ever you may chose to be freedom fighter for India, he or she has fought it before formation of India.

Great discovery that Jhansi Laxmi Bai, didn't fight for freedom of country but for herself...but from whom? Every one who fought British, before formation of India is a freedom fighter, including Tippu.

While you are entitled for your opinions, please think beyond narrow interpretations.

Suresh Kumar, Karambar you are right. Truth always comes out.
What you can expect from the people like Jossey Saldanha !! I always read comments here but so silly & unmatured comments from him.

About Rahul Ghandi, if you want & if Daiji agrees to publish, I will give a Photo of him with his Foreign girl friend in a programme with Jeans & T-Shirt. In India Netagiri....Khadi dress..!! And also a rumour is that he is having a affair with Princess of Afghanistan...But I am not sure....People say lot...

    To the dear readers!
I was the commander of INS BETWA, which was a Frigate in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. We bombed Karachi harbor for 6 days.
I have still got shrapnel wounds from the counter-bombing in my legs and due to my old age, I am having problems walking even to the toilet.
The Indian government has refused to give me even a walking stick!
Now I am retired from the Indian Navy and is still working for a living at an age of 65 to fill my belly - which is only 4 inch long.
What did I get for this?
I got 6 medals and nothing else for this. The medals are still with me somewhere, getting rusted.
In my next life, I will become a politician since mine and my family's life will be assured.
Nobody really looks after a war hero in India.
A politician/cricket player/ a film actor or an underworld person is a real hero in our India.
    Jai ho India!

Govt of India and military too treat our SPY very badly in case they get arrested, tortured in Pak jail and sent back after 10years..I read autobiography of ex-Indian spy Mohanlal Bhaskar who spent 12years in Pak jail. When he returned to India,he was treated like a beggar..Finally,he writes in the end "If I had pistol,I would have pumped all bullets in their chest(politicians)...

And then they glorify a person who's only qualification is his last name. Going by the "disagrees" on those comments that are rightly condemning this despicable act goes to show the moral compass of many posters here.

Why some out fits only. If anything insulting has been portrayed aboutJhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai it has to be condemned by everybody. She was the symbol of 'woman strong hood' in the days when it could not have
been dreamt of! Now even as many a woman have conquered even the skies and some even become rulers of nations, many still brandish or sharpen their swords
in households always looking ' for the kill'....! Ask the experienced.....O.K.?
So much for praise worthy women and their ilk.
That brings me to the question...
What has Rahul Gandhi done in the
context to be praised? No...I ask honestly.....Is it because he has a strong mother who rules over UPA
which in turn is ruling India? What is the criteria?
