Petrol, diesel prices hiked


New Delhi, July 31 (IANS): Petrol and diesel will cost 70 and 50 paise more per litre, excluding taxes, from midnight Wednesday, state-run Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) announced.

It said the depreciation of the rupee and hardening of crude prices in the international market had necessitated the hike.
