Udupi, Aug 1: The people of Hejamady and Padubridi had a merry time as several sachets of coffee powder appeared ashore at the beaches.

As soon as the news about the coffee sachets spread, people rushed to the beaches and got busy collecting them.

Sachets of coffee brands like Kopiko, 3-in-1 coffee comprising 10 small sachets in every packet were found. There were also packets consisting of sugar, milk powder and coffee powder, it is said.

People were seen collecting and taking away the coffee packets in plastic and gunny bags. Some came in auto rickshaw and took away the packets, said locals.

It may be recalled that two days back branded footballs worth Rs 7,000 each were washed ashore. People who collected them have sold the footballs for Rs 600 to Rs 700, it is learnt.

The coffee sachets probably belong to a sunken ship.

Maybe God sent this. By knowing that people can't afford to buy it because of third class government. At least time to rejoice for locals.

Dear Brother Naveen D'souza first let govt official check from were this packets arrived from , from ships or from small boats or any Arms RDX or Ammunition landed on coastal area like it happened Arabian Sea coast in Ratnagiri district in the southwestern part of Maharashtra, India.

Second are this PACKET COFFEEE fit for human consumption....even see the PUBLIC like a fools collecting the samples instead of informing the COASTAL POLICE.

    GOD BLESS INDIA

    Agree with you.

We have Navy, Coast Guard, Costal Police to proect our vast sea shore. It is pitty non of them could see what is coming up to our shore. Even big sized tank-containers are arriving our coast without out coast guards notice !! that too after we have faced the big tragedy of Mumbai attacks !!

here Media can reach the site and highlight but non of the Govt agencies still can't wake up !!
At the end govt can slap police cases on Media people for not informing them like they did earlier on Mr. Sorinje!

People should take little caution on contents of packets. It chould be some Terrorist send poisous elements in coffe packs, never know. they have to surrender the collected things to nearest police stations !!
may be anti national Terrorist are watching this as trial how they can successed for thier attacks on our great nation.
We have to be responsible citizen to protect our great nation from Terrorists.
Coast Guard need to wake up and conduct regular sea excisies instead of busy in Sex Scandals!!

Brother Since '93 serial blasts in Mumbai, the police and the state government have been harping about the need to upgrade sea patrolling in the coastal belt of Maharashtra. There have been frequent claims by the authorities that security has been beefed up, but apart from a few patrol boats, not much has been done to ensure that 1993 BOMB BLAST not repeated. Worse than this, a proposal for allocating 300 police personnel to patrol the coast everyday is lying idle with the Union home department...........

No need for INVESTIGATION as per your advise just trace the Disagree IP address on your COMMNETS you will find the answer to catch the culprit.
