Mangalore: Boat capsizes at Alive Bagilu, locals to the rescue

Mangalore, Aug 2: A country boat which was returning with a catch capsized near Alive Bagilu on Thursday August 1 evening.

The three fishermen in the boat swam to safely while the capsized boat was pulled back to the shore by the residents of Mogaveerapatna after persistent efforts.

A group of three fishermen went fishing from Mangalore Bengre on Thursday morning. On their way back in the evening, the boat capsized near Alive Bagilu due to strong waves.
 
As many as 100 Mogaveerapatna residents bravely worked together and brought the boat back to shore.
Meanwhile, the catch in the boat was also shared by the locals.
