Bangalore: By-polls: BJP, JD(S) make joint effort to defeat Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (EP)

Bangalore, Aug 3: The BJP and JD(S) parties have prepared themselves for a united fight against the ruling Congress party for the by-polls scheduled to be held for three posts in Mandya and Bangalore Rural district soon. The by-elections will be held on August 21 and the counting will be held on August 24.

The opposition parties are determined to win the elections in view of their recent defeat against the ruling Congress.

JD(S) has put forward Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of JD(S) state chief H D Kumaraswamy from Bangalore Rural constituency. C S Puttaraju is the party's choice from Mandya.

JD(S) had earlier won Lok Sabha elections in Bangalore Rural and Mandya. It is important for JD(S) to win in these constituencies in view of Vokkaligas stronghold in the area.

Similarly BJP had won three seats during Vidhana Parishat elections.  So the BJP has decided to support JD(S) in the Lok Sabha elections and JD(S) has agreed to support BJP in the upcoming local by-elections Legislative council seats. They want to snub the ruling party by this joint effort.

The BJP has decided not to contest for Mandya Lok Sabha constituency seat and has decided to issue a ticket to Tulasi Muniraju in Bangalore Rural constituency, who is not so prominent.  The BJP high command has indirectly agreed for this arrangement.

Parameshwar has criticized the arrangement between BJP and JD(S) as an unholy nexus and said that the people will teach them a lesson.  He said that the parties had gone for similar tactics during last Vidhana Sabha elections too but the electorate taught them a lesson.

Meanwhile, the sources said that the Congress has decided to field actress-turned politician Ramya from Mandya Lok Sabha segment and D K Suresh, brother of minister D K Shivkumar, from Bangalore Rural. They are expected to file nominations on Saturday August 3. It is learnt Ramya agreed to contest and asked the high command to ensure that she gets ticket in the 2014 elections.

2 old enemies become one to teach lesson to a MIGHTY enemy! This clearly shows the weakness of BJP and JD(S). Then the fight starts for "Kurchi" - Hane Baraha !

What a tragedy? If they can't face election for 2 seats independently then how they face 500 plus seats in 2014? Shame on so called national parties. Even, Yedy is not ready for alliance with BJP, but Kumarswamy do! What a shame! It is equal to suicide for Kumarswamy. He is more dangerous than Yeddy. He don't have any quality to become a leader. Once he made alliance with BJP to become, against to his fathers wish to become chief minister. Then he cheated his wife and secretly married a film actress. So, did he is morally fit
to become a leader? He is the real encounter! He proved him-self that for power, he can do anything!

It is so evident, at least now to all, including BJPians that BJP by themselves cannot do anything or win anything.
They always need so much of help from others, as such, they are forever indebted to various organisations like RSS, VHP and politically JDS, Sena and some low profile parties. This debt they have to repay, as such there is always problems aplenty within the party.

This time people have finally realised this very well as this to be sort of vendetta, not real zeal to serve the people. It is evident from their own words

Earlier also it was mentioned that they want power by hook or crook - but they should not forget they have a equally good crook as their partner in their plans.
Such kind of power, when won, does not last long....!!
The frustration of BJP is so evident.

Win and loss is not the question here. Is this election nesessary for few months to go for main elections.Whats that these MPS will achieve out from this win? Congress knows with power in their hand and thats why they have calculatively imposed these elections. Tax payers money(many many crores will be wasted now) money will be spent for Liquor upto to the nose by all parties. Sure to lose next main lok sabha elections congress wants to make impact out of these 2 seats win from Bangalore/Mandya(they are confident because they are in power). A must win order from Boss .Why boss in delhi is bothered in our money getting wasted?.Boss is just interested in coming back to power next time .

Right prakash..even this by election not result of death of a MP!!..this is because of power hungry politicians..if there is no chance in state, they will try for center..even a MLA can contest MP election without resigning his MLA post..these people contest in 2 places,if he wins in both places,he will resign for one seat..then once again election for resigned seat..we the taxpayers has to bear the expenses!! what a tragedy..

..It holds good for all parties..Congress & muslim league, Congress & Owais party..secular,communal debate itself is obsolete..only power & money speaks in political corridor..IAS officer Durga shakti transfer in UP is best example for how political party evokes communal sentiment..she is transfered for demolishing a wall of a prayer hall, which is already demolished by locals for non compliance with Govt rules!!..Now, it will be very difficult to implement supreme court order, where it says all illegal religious structures built on Govt property without permission should be demolished..
