Two arrested for trying to mow down cop

New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS): Two people were arrested here for trying to mow down a policeman after he asked them to stop at a checkpoint, police said Sunday.

Palinder Singh Jolly and Jeet Singh Bindra, both aged 22 and residents of south Delhi's Jangpura area, were driving near India Gate late Saturday night when they were signalled by a police constable to stop at a checkpoint.
