Suspended IAS officer Durga served chargesheet by UP govt

New Delhi, Aug 4 (Zee News): Inspite of the growing pressure on the Uttar Pradesh government to revoke the suspension of Durga Shakti Nagpal, the Akhilesh Yadav government on Sunday evening served a chargesheet to the IAS officer.

The state government has also sent a report to the Centre.

In the chargesheet, as per reports, it has been said that the IAS officer had not adhered to the rules while demolishing a mosque wall. Nagpal has been given 15 days to file her reply.

The chargesheet comes a day after Congress president Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to make sure that the young IAS officer is not unfairly treated.

The Samajwadi Party had hit back at the Congress today over Sonia's letter and had questioned as to what they had done about Haryana cadre IAS officer Ashok Khemka, who had allegedly been transferred for questioning Robert Vadra's land deals.

In a retort to SP's barbs, the Congress said that Sonia was well within her rights to question the suspension of the IAS officer and that the whole matter had gone beyond the boundaries of Uttar Pardesh.

The Centre had sought a report from Samajwadi Party on suspension of Durga Nagpal. It has been alleged that she was suspended by the Akhilesh government for her alleged cracked down on sand mafia involved in rampant quarrying along the banks of Yamuna River.

Durga Shakti Nagpal belongs to the UP cadre. She was suspended on July 27 ostensibly for ordering demolition of a wall of a local under-construction mosque without following the due process.

The UP government has come under sharp criticism for the suspension of the officer, with all major Opposition parties, including the BJP and BSP accusing Akhilesh Yadav and his ministers for protecting the sand mafia.

The matter took a turn for the worst when a Samajwadi Party leader was caught on camera boasting that he had got Nagpal suspended in 41 minutes.

Meanwhile, supposedly miffed at Congress' intervention in the suspension of Nagpal, the SP has threatened to not support the Food Security Bill in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament.

The Monsoon Session is set to begin from tomorrow.

Arnab Goswami of Times Hour take up matters, make a big noise, only on issues where huge money is involved. For instance:
2G,Helicopter issue, Coal gate, etc. He then keep quiet after a week.?!!!!
Durga Shakti Nagpal is an honest IAS Officer. She alone has no money and power. Why should media bother.? Ha ha ha.

This is something very strange , horrible and painful. .. it is simply reflecting the story of an ordinary Bollywood movie… A young , honest and gutsy IAS officer dared to fight against the mafia and the government had not only suspended her but also filed chargesheet against her instead of supporting her … It happens only in India … Will media take a stern step in favor of the victim and play its role more actively?

Not a surprising move by SP. They are congress' best friend at the centre and Mulayam's dhoti always supported Congress when its pants were down. So they act the same way against whistle blowers like congress.
Even to pass congress' food security bill Congress is counting on SP now and one FEKU Soda down here is trying to wash his hands off.
Today SP's leader threated not to vote for the food security bill in the aftermath of Madams so called "love letter of concern" to MMS, that the madam recalled the Love letter though the same postman who delivered it to MMS Yesterday. All parties who have associated with Congress have learnt all their dirty tricks so are their FEKU-Pappu -5/12 RS supporters.

All these days, despite the public postures of politicians, in the bottom of the heart there was a hope that finally Durga will win. Similar to watching a Amitabh movie - you knew that hero will win.
Alas, our politicians are too thick skinned. They are driving us to total despair.
If we continue like this the 100th year of independence will be anarchy and not democracy.
