Mumbai, Aug 5: Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor has planned to launch his production TV show 24 with John Abraham’s upcoming film Madras Café. For a change the trailer of the TV show will be aired in theatres.
Initially the launch of the trailer was planned with Chennai Express, which was scheduled to be released on the August 9. But as the trailer is not yet ready, the release had to be postponed.
24 is an upcoming Indian television drama series based on the American series with the same name. The show will be directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Anil Kapoor Films. The show is expected to be aired on the Viacom co-owned Colors channel.
"Even though 24 is a TV show, it is being treated like a feature film," says director of the show Abhinay Deo.
So instead of having the trailer on the TV they will unveil the promo in the theaters to have a larger impact.
He adds, "The show is completely designed as a film. The sequences have been shot on real locations in Mumbai. The action, cast and the look of the show, will raise the standards for television in India."
