Mangalore: Arrest cattle thieves or quit: U T Khadar writes to police commissioner

From Media Release

Mangalore, Aug 5:
Minister for health and family affairs U T Khadar has urged the police to take immediate steps to catch cattle thieves and those who attack innocents, and warned that if the police commissioner is unable to stop the menace, he should vacate his position.

In a letter to city police commissioner Manish Karbikar, Khadar stated, "Dakshina Kannada is a place loved by everyone, however, of late, failure to catch miscreants and incidents aimed at disrupting peace have marred the district and people have been living in fear.

"Lately, incidents like thefts in houses, cattle thefts, attack on innocents and irresponsible attitude of the police when approached for justice and to seek help have been reported in Mangalore city and other places. This has created an atmosphere of unrest," he said.

"Cattle thefts have been on the rise in the city, due to which miscreants have been attacking innocents and creating fear among people. The police department has failed to trace the culprits who steal cattle and loot houses. This in turn is encouraging miscreants to carry on their deeds unfettered. Due to this, the common man cannot live in peace," he added.

"The common man can live peacefully only if the police department performs its duty efficiently," Khadar pointed out.

"Hence, the cattle thieves and miscreants who attack innocents should be traced and arrested at the earliest. Being the city police commissioner you should take the responsiblity and allow the common man to live in peace. I urge you to vacate your position and let another capable officer take your place in case you fail to tackle the issue," Khadar stated.

Dear Friends, even Khader Bhai playing real politics nowadays. Reminding Police Team is not for unable to catch cattle thieves. In fact, it was for thrashing his community boy by Hindu Activists few days back. Funny thing is, local Politicians started influencing Police Department even before they take the cattle thief to Police Station. When BJP came to know this they started protest before the concerned Police Department.

It is good that you pointed out to Mr. Anand about that. People tend to forget just in a couple of months what was happening in Karnataka earlier, why many cattle theft cases and other cases were not reported...and just hushed up using ministers\higher-ups influence.

    Mr. Anand -
Here a Minister has notified the Police Commissioner about the increase in cattle stealing etc. as the public are upset. It is a common knowledge, police are the protectors and failure from them to do so, Minister's turn to inform them and ask them the reasons for such negligence of duty.
During the previous govt. many of such cases hushed up, most probably due to, as you say, some ministers using their influence.
Here it is completely other way around.
Hope P. Commissioner takes i well and will be praised by one and all for his quick action.

I urge Honorable Minister U. T. Khadar to OPEN MORE AND MORE SLAUGHTER HOUSES AND REMOVE PERMITS TO SLAUGHTER HOUSES.

I humbly urge whoever is consuming beef, enjoy your food-beef but the humble request is don't give temptations to non-beef eaters. Don't give them the taste of beef. Already the prices are increased like anything and day by day beef eaters are increasing.

THEREFORE DON'T COOK AND GIVE THEM TO NON-BEEF EATERS THE TASTE OF BEEF.
Lastly, I urge honorable minister to encourage animal husbandry so that plenty of cattle available in the market for beef eaters so that the prices of beef in the market may come down.

Then it would be easy to nab the antisocial elements. If the politicians and bureaucrats do their duty there will be no crime in the city. Did you guys hear the news? The Scientists have grown the edible cow meat from stem cell. The first hamburger costs them $332,000. Once technique is completely developed the cost would be less than actual cow meat per pound.

In a few years, there will be no cow stealing and one can get meat without killing the animal. How nice! Even the animal lovers can eat this meat. The Anti-cow slaughtering bill will be obsolete!
No more fights, no more politics about the cow and one less agenda for BJP. McDonald can serve stem cell beef burgers in India.

There will be lot of Punyakoties roaming around in our neighbourhood and one has to pay to steal them.

Well U. T. Khader very good of your order and the warning alaram to the police dept. of Mangalore. It is the right step you have implemented at the right time because as you know mostly all the cattle thiefs are belong to muslim community so in your capacity as a muslim and the minister of Karnataka you the first person raised the voice and the warning alaram passed to the police dept. of Mangalore. Well U. T. Khader only because of some muslim community robbers your muslim community is going to loose the dignity and respect of your muslim community in the society. As now at present the muslim community have a highest reputation and most of muslim community population well educated and doing very well in the state so only for some of the illerate muslim citizens the reputation and the name of whole muslim community is spoiling. It is a very good step U. T. Khader as you passed the order to catch all the cattle robbers. So now let all the community and not only muslim community, cattle robbers take care and be alert to face the punishment for your crime when you all caught red handed. Also I hope now all the police dept. of Mangalore will be going to active and fully alert.

The police should use its network and informers to track all the mischievous in the region above religion and politics.
Install CCTV in all the police stations to capture the atmosphere inside every police station. Things are not going on as it should be in all the police stations.
The local authorities should install CCTV at all the important junctions and strategic points.
The police should be trained how to handle the public and even the culprits before they are proved guilty. They can should many clippings of the developed country police force and their handling method of different situations.
