Mangalore, Aug 6: A man was found brutally murdered near railway bridge at Morgan's Gate here late night on Monday August 5.

The deceased has been identified as Vikrant Shetty (27), a resident of Shantigudde. He was employed in a recreation club at Jyothi here.

It is said that at around 11 pm, Vikrant had closed the club and was on his way home when a few people came in a car and hit his bike. They then attack him with weapons and left him dead. As it was late night, the road was deserted.

The police later received a call that an accident had taken place there. They rushed to the spot, and at first assumed it to be a case of accident. However, on examination, it was ascertained that Vikrant had been murdered. His bike also was found at the spot.

It is suspected that rivalry or revenge for another murder may have been the motive behind the murder, as sources said that he was involved in a criminal case.

Pandeshwar police have registered a case and investigations are on.

This type of revenge murder/killing happens only with the people who live undignified/criminal life style. They deserve such consequence.

The saying which says 'one who lives with the knife or a gun, will also die with the same weapon" is true.

Mangalore became (in)famous due to attacks on girls and churches by so called immoral policy and its supporters like u, under goonda raaj of BJP who were busy fighting for power rather than controlling crimes. Congress is doing their best to restore peace which was taken for a ride under BJP gov.

Yes Yes, then it was Goondaraaj , Now it is RAAMARAAJYA. Raamraajya elected by people like you. When this will come to your doorstep then you people will realize what is Goondaraaj & what is Raamarajya. Till then like Typical congis justify each and everything by saying you did this we will also do this.

If the police is diverted to real job than investigating who threw stone & broke the window panes of the Church's, then Crime may come under control....I suppose!!!

Juliet..don't be a hypocrite. Those who are working in gulf are not cowards. They have their own problems and they are forced to leave their motherland to feed their families. Everybody is not lucky as you. So, before commenting anything, use your brain (if you have). Don't comment for the sake of commenting. You are telling those outside India are cowards. What about us? Who stay in India and doing nothing? We are just watching the thamasha. Is this not hypocricy? Your comments show that you are jealous on those who are working outside India. Change your mindset. You may be owning land worth crores of rupees as you are staying in Bejai but everybody is not born lucky like you. Everybody cannot afford to have plot in Bejai. One thing is clear. When these NRI's visit India, regret to say that we loot them. This is tragedy.

Nagesha...if you can read the news article, please read once again. The guy who was murdered is involved in criminal cases. Those involved in criminal cases will get the death of this type. Don't expect criminals to get royal or peaceful death. Jeevana...can I ask where is our MP as well? Don't try to politicize this issue. This is nothing but retaliation. Society doesn't need this type of criminals.

@ Nagesh, In Daiji forum you are treated as hard core RSS supporter, so if you even speak truth nobody want to accept. for e.g. look at disagree at your comment. But anyway i liked it you are rite. OUR PEOPLE ARE BECOME PARTY LOVER THAN COUNTRY LOVER. Nobody loves country everybody wants free rice and other facilities from government by paying Rs.80 for petrol and Rs.1200 for gas cylinder.

What a joke? Nagesh and truth? No way. Nagesh is hardcore BJP. For him even if BJP does wrong, it is right for him. He is a biased views and hence there are more "disagrees" for his comments. People are not dumb here. They are smart and know what is good and what is bad. We too love our country. But we have fake lovers of our country. Let Nagesh comment in a unbiased way and then see the effect. There will be more "Likes" than "Dislikes".

yes, Mr. Poojari, again i am repeat the same word. People are party lovers. I am least bothered Nagesh supporting which party. According to current situation his words are right. for eg. J&K CM Omar Abdullah, most of his comments were anti national, but few days back he is given very sensible statement. Its on dividing states. so, if a person doesn't matter which religion he is following or cast or party if he speaks truth. So,comment sensibly. Ofcourse i know how to crack the joke, but not on national issue.
