On the occasion of its silver jubilee year, Kuwait Canara Welfare Association, popularly known as KCWA, offered a thanksgiving mass at the Holy Family Cathedral at Kuwait city at 7:30 pm on Monday August 5.

Fr Antony Lopez, assistant parish priest of the Cathedral was the main celebrant of the mass who was accompanied by Fr Blany Pinto, parish priest of Salmiya parish, Fr Gasper Fernandes from Ahmadi parish and Fr Noel D’ Almeida the spiritual Director of KCWA.

Fr Antony and Fr Noel spoke highly about the great work done by the members, present and past committee members, donors and benefactors and media. Congratulations to KCWA, all members and well wishers. Glad to see so many KCWA members attending the silver jubilee mass in large numbers. Our Konkani speaking priests and choir members made it still more beautiful with the celebration. The Logo and the Candles look beautiful. Nice to see the young and dynamic MEC members working so hard and putting in their best effort for the growth of KCWA. May the silver turn to gold, platinum and Centenary with the kind and humble hearts of Mangaloreans. I am very proud to be a part of this Association. Long Live KCWA.

Indeed it was a wonderful to start the Silver Jubilee celebrations with the Thanksgiving mass. Good see large number of members and well-wishers participated in this thanksgiving mass. It was a solemn festive mass. KCWA stands first as a premier association of Mangalorean Konkani Speaking community in Kuwait and I believe this is the oldest association in the entire Gulf region. All Mangaloreans in Kuwait should join this great association and join hands together with KCWA’s mission educating poor children. It is just pledging small amount every year for the poor children’s education. Proud to be a member of this great associations. It was nice to see all the past Presidents / their family members were honored with ‘Manachi Vaath’. KCWA logo looks beautiful as KCWA’s great achievements. Nice to see all the management committee members working hand in hand. Good Luck and Congratulations to all the KCWA members. May God Bless You All.

KCWA has given shelter to many poor children in their education over a quarter century and its achievements are commendable. May This Silver Jubilee year be an occasion for all Mangaloreans living in Kuwait to join this big family and thereby serve our less fortunate brethren. Long live KCWA !
