Mangalore, Aug 8: Muslims all over the city gathered at Idgah on Lighthouse Hill at 8 am and at the Noor Masjid at 8:30 am to offer the special Eid Namaz.
After the Namaz, the city was seen with people swarming the streets and children gleaming with their new outfits. Wishes of 'Eid Mubarak' were spread with joy across family and friends.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival that marks the end of the month of Ramadan, was celebrated with utmost joy and devotion here on Thursday, August 8.
Ramadan marks the end of a month filled with devout prayer, the act of giving and a time of abstinence from food and water. Muslims brethren seek blessings from the Almighty.
