Mangalore, Aug 12: CISF guards belonging to MRPL on Sunday August 11 night allegedly assaulted a group of locals and also three other persons.

The exact reason for the assault is not yet known, but sources said that about two days back, some miscreants had pelted stones at the CISF posts at MRPL. Angered by this, the guards reportedly acted against three persons passing by on Sunday night.

It is said that Joyson, a resident of Bajpe was on his way to a relative's house at Kuthetur when he was stopped by around 30 CISF personnel. The guards began to question him and reportedly tried to assault. Out of fear, Joyson left his car at the spot and ran towards his relative's house which was close by.

He informed the locals who came to the spot in a group of 10-15, and questioned the CISF staff. They were told about the stone pelting incident, and soon, arguments sparked between the two groups, resulting in several persons sustaining minor injuries.

Among the group, a person identified as Alwyn was also injured. It is alleged that CISF personnel took away his mobile phone, chain and stereo system of his car by which he had come there. While the mobile phone was returned to him later, the other two items were not.

Also, it is said that when the locals went to question the CISF personnel, they found two persons, identified as Niyaz and Asif, tied up inside their premises. The locals alleged that the CISF had tied them up and assaulted them.

Alwyn, Asif and Niyaz were admitted to hospital.

Suratkal police have registered a case.

CISF personnel are working at MRPL for our own good (safety). We need to learn to respect and co-operate them. They are not bad. I have experienced it about 18 months during ERP implementation at MRPL

To see how corrupt the CISF officials are, just go to Tajmahal in Agra. You can easily notice how they send in the visitor by breaking the queue for exchange of money.

Your allegation is totally wrong. CISF is held the responsibility to check the tickets, its ASI Agra who are responsible to check the tkt and entry. CISF only reponsible for checking and frisking nothing else.

The first sentence 'CISF guards belonging to MRPL' needs some fine tuning. CISF belong to no one organization. And as Mr.Jossey Saldhana said a 'No Nonsense' outfit.
You mess with them and they knock you senseless. End of story. No debate.

Uneducated, Unemployed, goons creating nuisance at one of the sensitive installations of our district. CISF taught them very good lesson. No compromise on security at any cost particularly when there is threat all around.

Simple matter which could have been reconciled by the CISF personnel at MRPL amicably but made big and now taken shape of out of proportion with the groups.Always better these company's to maintain good rapport with the locals so as to stop this kind of unwanted fights.Hope the authorities settle this matter well without giving scope for furthes rifts.Thanq.
