Mandya: Teary-eyed Ramya launches by-poll campaign

Mandya: Teary-eyed Ramya launches by-poll campaign

Daijiworld Media Network

Mandya, Aug 12: Actress-politician Ramya, who is contesting on Congress ticket, launched her campaign here on Monday August 12 on an emotional note.

With just about 9 days to go for the by-poll, the actress began her campaign by offering puja at a temple.

Ramya, who lost her guardian R T Narayan recently, turned emotional while campaigning, and even shed tears during the road show.

Clad in a red sari, Ramya went about campaigning in an open jeep accompanied by veteran Sandalwood actor-turned-politician Ambareesh accompanying her.

The Congress also inaugurated its election office on the occasion.

Hundreds of Congress workers and supporters gathered on the streets to greet Ramya.

Ramya filed her nomination on August 3. She is pitted against former legislator C S Puttaraju of JD(S).

Chief minister Siddaramaiah and other Congress leaders are expected to campaign for Ramya.

The elections, a matter of prestige for both Congress and the JD(S), will be held on August 21. The BJP, meanwhile, has decided to back JD(S) against Congress. Lok Sabha by-poll is also being held for Bangalore Rural on the same day.

    Respected pastor,

My intention of bold was referring to person like Mod's will power and agressive attitude and not encouraging his rule as party leader.

In politics only emotions and sympaties will not work. Be aggressive, powerful and secular.

We need such dynamic PM at the centre too.

Sorry if my comments made you feel that I belong to BJP party or I support Mr. Modi.

Simply we want a powerful PM. in the future.

    Dear Flavia:

You say Modi is bold. In what he is bold, in murdering, corruption, looting, the worst man in BJP. Ramya will surely win, whatever the tricks BJP and JDS play. All the best Ramya. Ofcourse you are a bold girl but the circumstances did make you emotional. Flavia do not be disheartened by my letter to you. However May God bless you.

Ramya a beautiful talented actress crying during poll campaign due to sudden death of her step father on nomination day.Whoever watched yesterday's Kannada news can make out that she is heart broken.Smile and cry can be genuine or artificial. But heart breaking cry can be noticed by an individual who gone through such stage.I was very much impressed by her beauty and acting skill in Kannada movie "Amrutha Dhare".She is typical Bangalorean girl fit well into naughty charector ending with tragedy.Unfortunately she is forced to be in politics by some leaders.Exploitation of beauty and talent.

How can you wish good luck some one who is very much upset and crying for loosing her Guardian father and forgot her real father just because he is poor man. As per the news her mother kept her apart from her father just because he is a poor, but why not this film star not tried to find out where about of him. This is really sad. Someone who is not able to regard his own father, how she can respect the society ?????

She had problems with Sudeep and entire crew members of film Just Math Mathalli. She has to learn a lot on man mangement skills. She also needs to understand the pulse of the Mandya people.

Unless down pouring her tears she should listen and wash the tears of the people of her constituency. That could be the correct way of campaigning, keeping a side of her personnel tragedy as you said.Only 9 days is left for the voting, imagine what kind of service she will assure for the constituency about their grievance is concerned. It's looks like an emotional ending of her carrier in both the field.

There is a reason for congress to forcibly make Ramya stand for the election irrespective of her family tragedy. Congress has the chance of winning by only encashing Ramyas popularity as she is the No 1 star Sandalwood. That's the only reason congress may win this seat and not for their any other good work. What good does congress has to talk about itself anyways.
