Bantwal: Hoarding at Farangipet still shows Shettar as CM!

Bantwal, Aug 14: Though almost three months have passed since Congress came to power in the state and Siddaramaiah took oath as chief minister, a cut-out at Farangipet here still declares Jagadish Shettar as the CM and Eshwarappa as his deputy!

The cut-out belongs to the tax department and is located on the national highway near Farangipet fish market.

The hoarding announces the opening of 'Atal Janasnehi Kendra' by the tax department during the previous BJP regime and also lists the number of services rendered by the Kendra

The hoarding has become the talk of the town, with locals pointing out at the laxity of the local administration in letting the cut-out stay on, long after the new government has formed.

"It is a shame that such a big hoarding on the national highway, that too put up by the tax department, still shows former CM Jagadish Shettar and former deputy CM Eshwarappa as ruling the state," said a local, adding that it is not only misleading, but also shows the negligence of the local administration.

Each of the local representatives would have only bothered to only get a plump ministerial berth in the state Govt., and the others busy with the general elections of 2014. Others how to make some money after fooling the general public.
