Kundapur: Bike accident claims teacher's life

Kundapur, Aug 14: A teacher from Taggarse primary school died after his bike skid near Kundapur-Byndoor Bijoor junction here on Tuesday August 13.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjeeva Nagur (46), resident of Kirimanjeshwara.

The accident took place when Sanjeeva was riding his bike from Byndoor to Manjeshwar. Sanjeeva lost control and as a result his bike skidded and he was thrown off.

Sanjeeva who was critically injured was rushed to the hospital by locals but he breathed his last on the way.

Sanjeeva had taught in various schools in Halageri, Kunjibettu, Badakeri, Byndoor and other places over the past 20 years. He had been teaching at Taggarse government primary school for the past 5 years. He was much loved and respected by the students.

Sanjeeva is survived by wife and two daughters.

Byndoor police have registered a case.
