Kundapur, Aug 24: In connection to the issue raised at Halthur School in Ulthoor gram where a teacher sits along with the children when others come to teach them, the district education standing committee president Ganapathi T Sriyan visited the school on Friday August 23 after the news went online on daijiworld.

During his visit, he held a discussion with education coordinator Nagesh Rao, resource person Kushala Shetty and zonal resource person Venugopal Hegde.

The teachers have voluntarily agreed that they will submit the retirement application soon and added  that necessary action will also be taken against the teacher for beating students. Further action will be taken after zilla panchayat meeting, said Ganapathi T Sriyan.

"After telling the teacher to apply for retirement from the past  three years, there were instances where higher officials have threatened. The incident was also brought to the notice of higher officials. We have instructed him to send application for voluntary retirement under 285 (1) on Saturday," said A Nagesh Rao.

Now they may suspend him until his retirement than they will pay him all his dues and pension. This is Indian Justice. Punish persons like him than only India will improve.
