Mangalore: '8th Star Nite' captivates audience at Kadri Mosaru Kudike

Mangalore, Aug 30: Kadri Cricketers on the occasion of Mosaru Kudike hosted the '8th Star Nite' at the Kadri grounds on August 29. Stars flocked the stage during this nite ranging from Jassie Gift, music director to movie heroines Shwetha Srivastav and Nisha Yogeshwar.

Shwetha and Nisha entertained the audience with their dances while Jassie Gift, playback singer; Vani Harikrishna, Mahesh Sukhadare, Manikanth Kadri, Shriraksha, Deepak Doddera and Supriya Lohit enthralled the audience with some foot-tapping songs and entertainment.

The local dance troupes Ocean Kids, Section 8 and Excellent dance group showcased their dancing talents.

On the occasion a brief introduction with the trailer on the soon to release Tulu movie 'Rickshaw Driver' was shown by the movie cast.

The musical evening was followed by a formal stage programme where dignitaries liek Vinay Kumar Sorake, Urban Development minister; M S Mahabaleshwra Bhat, GM Karnataka Bank; Ratnakar Jain, Jain travels Mangalore; Prasad Panikkar managing director of Victory Groups; Lakshmish Bhandary, MD Bhandary builders; advocate Shivaram Rao; Shrikar Prabhu former president of BJP; Rakesh Malli from INTUC; Shantharam Shetty, CA and Amruth V Kadri, KPCC general secretary shared the dias.

Addressing the audience Sorake said "from the past four years I have been actively involved in the programme organized by the Kadri Cricketers. Lauding them for their good work he said this team has a good fan base and they are popular in South Kanara." He added that other than entertainment the team is also involved social activities like rice distribution, blood donation camps etc.

Shrikar Prabhu said "It is a good programme and I am proud when youth participate in large numbers and take part in the organiztion of such programmes. It is also entertaining for the people of the locality."

Actress Shwetha Shrivastav sharing her opinion about the visit to the city said that she recieved a good feedback response from the public and was happy with all the love she received from her fans. Expressing her gratitude towards the organizers she said  that Mangalore girls are more beautiful and 'I take pride in saying tht I am a Mangalorean'.
