Under BJP we could hear\see Ministers visiting only temples everywhere and never for this kind of activity.
So much of money was spent on their security and other arrangements. Instead if they had alotted that money for good purposes like this one, so many burdens of the needy would have been met.

Present Govt. is serious about the development work and they will see to it day by day year by year.

    Dinesh Shetty, Padubidri
If you had read the entire message till the end - answer to your question was there itself.
May be Minister\MLA of earlier Govt. and a couple of others may have felt shame for not doing this to the people when they had the chance and were absent where as Congress Union Minsiter\MP and others they may be busy with day today duties.
    You should appreciate this.
You see the mentality of BJP Ministers DVS\Esh - They got wind of Govt. announcing compensation to Arecanut farmers and to pre-empt they visited arecanut farmers before Sorake could announce the compensation.
BJP's third class ways to make people feel that it was because of them!!! useless guys.
