Kasargod, Sep 7: An accident involving two buses occurred near the curve on Ambad in Thekkil on Friday September 7.

As many as 25 people are said to have been injured due to the head-on collision.

The accident has occurred between Devi Prasad bus that was plying towards Kanhangad from Kasargod and Suchitra bus coming from the opposite direction.  The injured, including the bus drivers, were admitted to hospital.

The injured include Prakash (25), Vishwanth from Kudlu (52), driver Madhu from Bandadka (37), conductor Madhusoodhan from Bedadka (26), Janardhan of Kundangui Charali (46), Srijith (14), Kunjimol of Panathoor (50), E Mohammed Kunhi from Berike (58), Naser from Nalamile (25), Prakash Bhat of Kuntar (52), M Karunakaran (47), Yashodha (68), Ashok from Poinachi (40), his wife Shobhana (34), Children Abhinand (2), Abhiraj (11), Kavya of Bedaddka (18) and B K Abdul Kunhi of Thekkil. Some of them were discharged after first aid.

Local people and the police took the injured to the hospital.
